St. George plan

So the St. George marathon is in 3 weeks. I do not intend to do the whole thing, probably just 16 or so. Having an 8 week old does not really jive with marathon training but since I got in and we were going to visit some our dearest friends anyway I might as well do some of it. The plan is to do about 16 miles, mostly because I hear this is the second major spectator area, the first being at mile 7 which is not far enough. So i plan to run until I see Mike and he pulls me off of the course which I am sure he will have to do. I love races there is just such an awesome feeling when racing. Hopefully it will not be too hard to stick to the plan.

I Did it!

I registered for the Boston marathon this morning! It is $130, by far the most expensive marathon I have run but it will be worth every $!

9-9-09 9.25 miles 7:50 pace I was feeling good today which makes no sense since Lily had a rough night last night

Tomorrow is the day!

Registration for the 2010 Boston Marathon opens tomorrow! It feels like it has been a long time coming, I guess in a way it has since I qualified for it pre baby. I feel like I have a long way to go before I am in marathon form again even though I have been running since 3 weeks postpartum and I ran through most of my pregnancy. It just feels a little harder than it used to. I am hoping that it gets easier the more my body gets back to "normal".
I thought I would use this blog to keep track of my training and all other things running. I did not want to bore people that are not interested in running with running talk on my family blog. So with that being said. let the fun begin!
Before Portland marathon- October 5, 2008

Sept 7- 7 miles 8:30 pace
Sept 8- 3.5 miles 8:20 pace and some crosstraining on the elliptical so that I could read the People magazine that I was lucky enough to get from the rack. Priorities, I know!
